It’s officially fall at Whole Foods. And it finally feels a little cooler here in Dallas. Perfect morning weather for runs, perfect evening weather for patio eating/drinking. P.S. I’ve got my eye on those white pumpkins…need to go back to buy some!
It’s been about a week since my last post, and I’m here to update you all on my training and give you some eats to look at too.
This was last Thursday at the Food Truck Fest. It was lots of fun and I got a little taste of a few trucks. First up was SsahmBBQ.
A KoreanBBQ taco truck. I ordered a chicken taco. A little sauce heavy, but the flavor was delicous. It was a bit out of my spicy comfort zone, but I’m a wimp and I just kept eating. That’s how my Dad taught me to endure spiciness. With a little lime on top and the fresh cabbage slaw, it was pretty good.
Next stop Rock n’ Roll Taco. I got the chicken torta. Sorry, I like chicken. The taco shell at the bottom was the best part. The pulled chicken was flavorful but a tad greasy. Extra points for freshly chopped avocado.
I left satisfied but not overly impressed with the food. It was good, but not good enough to go back anytime soon.
Training Updates:
This is what my past week looked like:
Friday: Rest Day. Did 1 hour vinyasa yoga instead.
Saturday: 5 mile run on Katy Trail. Done in 51 mins.
Sunday: Rest Day. I was lazy and gave new meaning to a rest day.
Monday: 3 mi 30 mins run on treadmill
Tuesday: 1 hour vinyasa yoga
Wednesday: 3 mi 30 mins run around neighborhood. Did it in 26:20…without too much effort! Yay!
Bon Appetit,
That Foodie Girl
