Happy Super Bowl Day! Wait, what teams are playing again? Ha…but really.
I love all the foodie posts this past week about their excitement for the Super Bowl FOOD. I’m on board with you all, as I have found myself dreaming of my ideal Super Bowl day grub digs. Eww. I hate that word.
So instead of dreaming it, I decided many of you out there are searching for some inspiration for this evening’s 5:30 pm (Central) kickoff. Here’s my ideal menu:
1. Homemade pigs in a blanket.
Your mouth is drooling. Don’t try & hide it. And no, I don’t think I can begin to justify these as far as health goes. Oh well.
Because who doesn’t love brownies?
3. Hummus & veggies
To get a little bit of healthy into our Super Bowl night, I’d prefer to munch on some raw veggies dipped in hummus. Better than chips!
4. Turkey chili
Better get this started early in the Crock Pot! Lots of easy recipes, and use turkey instead of beef to make it a little less fattening and caloric.
